We are looking for a volunteer to start as soon as possible due to the pressing set of circumstances at the shelter. You can learn more about the dog shelter here.
Application
Required Qualifications:
Must love dogs!
Must be able to drive manual trasmission
Must pay for transportation to Corfu
Must have an up-to-date tetanus shot
Must be 21 years of age or older
Must commit to at least one month of volunteer time
Helpful Qualifications:
We prefer that applicants have some experience with dogs, preferably at a shelter. Although vetrinary experience is not expected, a familiarity with basic dog care is essential. Since this position involves re-homing dogs, people skills are helpful. Knowledge of Greek is a huge plus.
Responsibilities:
This volunteer will he responsible for the maintenance of the shelter and the dogs. They will feed, clean, groom, and care for the dogs during part of their day. The rest of their work day will be devoted to finding new homes for the dog.
Hours:
At least 6 hours per day, one day off each week
